Scope

This policy applies to markish.tech, related Markish marketing pages, the Markish early-access waitlist, and the Markish application at app.markish.tech. It does not replace the privacy policies of Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, or any other service you connect to Markish. Those services independently control information they collect directly from you.

“Markish,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the Markish service and its operators. If your organization uses Markish under a customer agreement, that organization may control the workspace data it provides to Markish. In that situation, contact the organization about its processing instructions and privacy practices as well as contacting us.

Information we collect

We collect only information that is reasonably needed to operate the service, communicate with you, keep the service secure, and improve the experience.

• Information you provide. If you join the waitlist, we collect your full name, email address, company or studio name, phone number, and work type. We also collect information you send in support requests or other communications.
• Product information. If you use the Markish application, we may process account, workspace, team, brand, content, workflow, publishing, and analytics information that you or your organization choose to provide.
• Technical information. We may receive information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring page, timestamps, and security or error logs from the website, application, hosting provider, or security services.
• Information from connected platforms. When you authorize a supported social platform connection, we receive the data described in the Social platform connections section below and only the permissions or scopes you authorize.

Social platform connections

Markish is designed to help teams plan, publish, and understand social media work. If you connect an account, page, or organization from a supported platform, Markish accesses that platform through its official APIs and only for the features and permissions you authorize. Markish does not collect your social-platform password.

We use connected-platform data to provide the requested Markish feature, such as preparing content, publishing on your instruction, displaying account information, or presenting performance insights. We do not sell connected-platform data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to build unrelated profiles about people. We do not use data obtained from Meta, LinkedIn, or TikTok APIs to train general-purpose AI models.

Markish will not request or access private messages, contact lists, or data unrelated to the selected feature unless we first explain the purpose and obtain the appropriate authorization. You can revoke a connection at any time in the relevant platform’s account settings or in Markish where that control is available. Revoking access stops new API access; it does not automatically delete information already stored, so use the deletion instructions below if you want stored copies removed.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and secure the website, waitlist, product, and connected-platform features.
• Carry out actions you request, including content planning, workflow coordination, publishing, reporting, and performance analysis.
• Respond to your questions and send early-access or service communications you request.
• Detect abuse, prevent fraud, troubleshoot errors, and protect Markish, our users, and the public.
• Understand and improve the service using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
• Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. With vendors that help us host, secure, operate, support, communicate about, or process the waitlist and product. They may use information only to provide services to Markish and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
• Connected platforms. With Meta, LinkedIn, or TikTok when needed to authenticate, retrieve authorized data, or perform an action you request through that platform. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
• Legal and safety purposes. When reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce agreements, investigate abuse, or protect rights, safety, and property.
• Business changes. As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not make connected-platform data public through Markish unless you or an authorized workspace user instructs Markish to publish or share that content.

Cookies and similar technologies

Markish may use essential cookies or similar technologies needed for security, basic functionality, preferences, or a session. As of the effective date above, the public marketing site does not use third-party advertising pixels or a third-party analytics provider. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, honoring your choices, resolving disputes, maintaining security, and meeting legal or accounting requirements. Access tokens and other connection credentials are retained only while a connection is needed or as required for security and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely isolate it for a limited period where deletion is not immediately practical.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Markish and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use an appropriate legal mechanism for an international transfer and apply protections consistent with this policy.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and opt out of non-essential marketing communications.

You can unsubscribe from early-access communications by following the instructions in the message or contacting us. To make a privacy request, email privacy@markish.tech. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

If Markish processes workspace data on behalf of your organization, we may direct your request to that organization and assist it as required by our agreement and applicable law.

Data deletion requests

To request deletion of information associated with Markish, a waitlist submission, or a connected Meta, LinkedIn, or TikTok account, email privacy@markish.tech with the subject “Markish data deletion request.” Include the email address or account identifier associated with the request and identify the connected platform, if applicable. We will verify the request, delete or de-identify information we control where required, and confirm completion or explain any information we must retain by law.

Disconnecting a social account prevents new access through the platform connection. For deletion of information held directly by Meta, LinkedIn, or TikTok, use the privacy controls provided by that platform as well as contacting Markish.

Children’s privacy

Markish is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age at which parental consent is required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, data practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
